Reading the chart
The house trigram comes from the sitting direction — the back of the house, opposite the facing. Kan (sitting north), Zhen, Xun and Li houses belong to the East group; Kun, Qian, Dui and Gen houses to the West group.
Place the main entrance, study and bedroom in the Sheng Qi, Tian Yi, Yan Nian or Fu Wei sectors; use the Jue Ming, Liu Sha, Wu Gui and Huo Hai sectors for storage, bathrooms or the kitchen. For the best results, match the house group with your own Kua group.
